Marilyn has worked and studied very hard to understand the problems that her beginner students have through the 30 years of teaching, and hopefully have help them look at the beauty of art to create a life time of pleasure art will bring to their lives. Marilyn believes that anyone can paint with instruction, practice and the desire to learn new techniques in any medium.

Marilyn has traveled to various states and throughout Indiana teaching art classes.

President of Three Rivers Decorative Painters in Fort Wayne in 1989 and Indianapolis Decorative Painters in Indianapolis in 1991-1993
She has been published in Artist Decorative Painting Magazine, Decorative Tole Painting magazine. Society of Decorative Magazine.
Three Rivers Spring Banquet 2009 was honored to have her hand painted trunk picked for the program menu.
For 5 years worked with Kay Roberts Home Interiors, Also Star Homes painting in many homes for the Fort Wayne and Warsaw Parade of homes.
Marilyn has won many awards with her art work in oils, acrylics and watercolors. The Society of Decorative Painters was asked to paint Christmas tree and Easter egg ornaments for President Bush Sr. and Marilyn’s ornaments where one of many that where chosen. She also has her work in the Smithsonian Institute.
